Simon started in dogs in 1998 with his first English Springer Spaniel coming from the world renowned Feorlig kennels of Jenny & Don Miller. It was a love affair that emerged from a family of animal lovers and people involved in the exhibition of animals in either dogs, birds or rabbits already. Simon had been showing rabbits since 1992 and continues to be one of the UK's leading rabbit breeders and exhibitors today, having been the youngest ever 5 star best in show judge at the UK's premier show the London Championship Show.
In mid 2000's Simon, with then partner Richard, purchased his first American Cocker Spaniel 'Afterglow Slap Happy' from the world famous Afterglow Kennels of Mike Gadsby and Jason Lynn. Simon had been around the American Cocker breed with his Aunt owning several when he was a young child. In was in 2015 on a trip to Geneva in Switzerland that Simon's career in American Cocker's moved to a new level when he and his dear friend Fran Glendinning who is now co-owner of Partisky American Cockers purchased Very Vigie Lollipop from the internationally recognised Very Vigie kennel of Laurent Pichard and Hugues Schuh. Lollipop took the kennel to another level and made into a show champion very quickly for Simon.
In reward for the making up of Lollipop, Laurent gifted Very Vigie Nobody is Perfect to Simon along with several other dogs such as Very Vigie Love U Crazy and Very Vigie Nouba Boubba. Very Vigie Nobody Is Perfect career speaks for itself.
Simon's other passion is that of the Skye Terrier. He first saw Skye Terriers on his visit to collect his first ever dog the Springer in 1998 from the Feorlig Kennels. Upon asking Jenny Miller if he could have one of those, she said No you've got a Springer!. It was some 20 years later Simon obtained Feorlig Timeless Whisper (Eartha) who created his infancy lines of Skye Terriers. Her first born was Bunnybois Inspiration (Spiral) and this was to be Simon's first home bred Skye Terrier, and his first ever home bred Champion. Spiral was subsequently mated to the internationally titled Finnsky Momentous owned by Elizabeth Stewart, and has now produced a Crufts Best Puppy in Breed winner in Partisky Precious Moment (Solo).
Simon is eternally grateful to everybody who gives something to his time in dogs, and the education he has received. Along with Fran and others Simon now continues to build the Partisky kennel into a hopeful and prospective kennel for the future. Health and the maintenance of breed characteristics being at the forefront of all they do.
